Carol is an energetic leader with 15 years of accomplishments in medical/industrial marketing and general management. Carol has special strengths in developing and executing plans for high revenue growth and international expansion. Her skills include achieving high revenue growth in regulated settings, strategy, business development, including licensing, and acquisition integration. Carol has worked with medical technology companies and customers in over 20 countries.

Carol has held progressive positions in finance/treasury, marketing and general management in public and private companies. She was responsible for company-wide budgeting and planning as VP-Treasurer at Jockey International, a large private manufacturing and retail company. At Medtronic (MDT), the global medical device maker, she held a series of marketing and strategy roles of increasing responsibility in the implantable neurostimulation business. Under Carol’s marketing leadership, the Gastro-Uro business unit posted 15%+ annual revenue growth for several years. Carol was responsible for a company-wide program change initiative at Medtronic to accelerate the company’s global growth. Carol worked as Chief Commercial Officer at Anika Therapeutics (ANIK), where she guided the rapid advance of the company’s international licensing footprint and served as General Manager for the company’s Italian operation. Carol has served as Interim President, advisor or board member for several early stage ventures, and has board experience with public and private companies.

Carol has a BA in Economics from Carleton College (Northfield, Minnesota) and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She is a trustee of Carleton College and is a volunteer with the local lunch ministry program in Evanston, the Harvard Business School Club of Chicago Charitable Committee, and the Metropolitan Chicago Breast Cancer Task Force.
